Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
9Tools features nine hand-picked tools every day. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the site, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
- Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter or sign in with an email link.
- Account details — when you sign in with Google or an email link, we receive your email address and a unique account identifier from Firebase Authentication.
- Submission details — when you book a launch slot, we store your tool's name, website, description, the slot you booked, and the account that booked it.
- Usage data — we count clicks on featured tools to show popularity. These counts are aggregate and not tied to your identity.
How we use it
- To send you the newsletter you subscribed to. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To operate the launch calendar: showing booked slots, featuring your tool on its launch day, and preventing double bookings.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Third-party services
- Firebase Authentication (Google) handles sign-in. Their processing is governed by Google's privacy policy.
- Tool logos are loaded through Google's favicon service based on each tool's public domain.
- Our database is hosted on MongoDB infrastructure.
Data retention & deletion
- Subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Bookings and featured listings are kept as part of the public archive.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us.
