Smooth Recorder

Smooth Recorder is a native Mac screen recorder built for product demos that normally need an editing pass. You record once, and when you stop, the app has already added zooms that follow your clicks, a smooth cursor and camera moves, and captions transcribed on your Mac. It also handles screenshots, GIFs, scrolling capture and screen text.

What stands out in this Smooth Recorder review is the transcript editor: delete a word or a line and the video closes up around it, filler words included. Smart Redact covers emails, card numbers, keys and faces in one click, on device. It fits founders, developers and support teams who post demos often and want a productivity tool, not a browser tab.

The site lists a one time early access price of $9, with $69 at launch, and the app needs macOS 15 or later. It is built in SwiftUI and AppKit, so it behaves like a Mac app rather than an Electron wrapper. If you make demo videos weekly, Smooth Recorder is worth a download before the early access window closes.
